About the position

The IT Business Analyst II is a mid-level role focused on supporting the company's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE) ERP system. This position involves assisting users with IT Help Desk tickets, researching solutions to problems, managing project implementations, documenting processes, and developing new applications within the JDE system. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance system functionality and improve business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain business relationships across all levels of the company.
  • Collaborate with users to troubleshoot problems within the JDE system identified in the IT Help Desk ticket system.
  • Independently manage simple to complex projects to implement new functionality within the JDE system modules.
  • Create documentation and provide training on processes and functionalities within the JDE system.
  • Document current and future processes in collaboration with users.
  • Streamline process flow to enhance efficiency and eliminate unnecessary steps.
  • Assist in process improvement and knowledge transfer of the JDE system.
  • Work with IT staff to develop solutions that improve overall system functionality.
  • Collaborate with outside consulting resources for JDE system troubleshooting.
  • Advance knowledge of development skills within the JDE system toolset.
  • Utilize project management tools and principles for medium to large-sized projects.
  • Apply lessons learned to future efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in information technology, IT Business Analyst, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system is required.
  • Knowledge of SQL is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Project Management principles and methodologies is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships at all levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of current and previous business practices regarding software usage.
  • Ability to take initiative to develop new strategies and ideas.
