About the position

The IT Business Analyst II at Paycom Payroll LLC plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between stakeholders and IT solutions. This individual is responsible for understanding the operations, structure, and policies of the organization, and recommending IT solutions that facilitate the successful completion of new business initiatives. The role requires a high level of organization and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating closely with IT Systems Analysts while leading various projects. The Business Analyst will protect the organization's value by maintaining confidentiality and will work with stakeholders to develop comprehensive business requirements. In this position, the analyst will identify and resolve gaps in technology, processes, and resources, ensuring that requirements and design documents are delivered on time in accordance with project milestones. Regular guidance and direction will be provided to junior Business Analysts, and the individual will be responsible for creating various documentation, including Statements of Work, Project Plans, Business Process Diagrams, User Training Guides, Meeting Minutes, and Project Status Updates. Additionally, the analyst will attend meetings and serve on committees as requested, and perform other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline, along with 2+ years of IT-related Business Analysis experience and 1+ years of relevant technical IT experience. The role involves long-term, multi-phase systems implementation projects, requiring advanced knowledge and experience with diagramming and familiarity with principles and best practices from PMBOK, User Acceptance Testing, and the Systems Development Life Cycle.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of IT related Business Analysis experience
  • 1+ years of relevant technical IT experience
  • Long term, multi-phase systems implementation projects experience
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with diagramming
  • Knowledge of principles and best practices from PMBOK
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing
  • Familiarity with the Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Experience with Software Testing / Regression Testing
  • Knowledge of Change Management and emerging technology trends
