The IT Business Analyst position focuses on supporting the Supply Chain Systems within a well-established marketing company located in Addison, TX. This role requires a strong analytical mindset to assist internal customers in continuous improvement and innovation projects aimed at resolving system and technology issues. The analyst will be responsible for providing solutions to meet the growing demand for data automation, reporting, and data visualizations across core systems. Acting as a liaison between the IST department and various business teams, the analyst will elicit and define solution requirements, transforming them into technical specifications that align with business needs. In this role, the analyst will build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, gaining a deep understanding of business processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical abilities and effective communication skills are essential for success in this position. The analyst will work closely with business partners and IST SCS peers to identify opportunities for leveraging systems to enhance automation, reporting, data visualization, and overall business processes. The position also involves documenting business processes, assessing the current business model, and analyzing existing processes to identify areas for improvement. The analyst will create various documentation types, including requirements documentation, visual models, business process models, functional requirements specifications, data models, use cases, and process flows. Additionally, the analyst will apply project management standards, prepare work estimates, and establish delivery timelines. Testing is a critical component of the role, requiring the creation of test cases, execution of tests, and analysis of defects. The analyst will collaborate with business partners on deployment activities, including training and change management, while also supporting stabilization efforts by documenting issues and managing their workload to meet project schedules.
