About the position

The IT Business Analyst Intern will support critical Supply Chain functions at Hexion, focusing on the SAP Sales & Distribution and Environmental Health & Safety modules. This internship offers hands-on experience with SAP software, allowing the intern to collaborate with business users to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and document solutions, all while gaining valuable insights into the company's operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business teams to understand business requirements and how to address them through process improvements or system changes
• Assist with troubleshooting production issues and other daily support activities
• Perform basic SAP system changes, including making configuration changes, writing a technical system change specification, testing system changes, and deploying system changes to live system
• Understand the role of SAP master data and how it impacts system functionality
• Facilitate changes with appropriate IT or business functional areas
• Document system solutions and/or process changes
• Provide training and support to end users where necessary

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter
