About the position

The IT Business Analyst IV position at Apex Systems involves performing moderately complex Issues QA reviews across the Global Technology organization for a major financial client. The role requires a deep understanding of risk management and technical topics, with a focus on promoting teamwork and operational excellence. The analyst will be responsible for executing review activities, developing test approaches, and ensuring compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute review activities according to instructions from the Issues Lead and follow documentation requirements.
• Develop test approaches for reviewing assigned issues.
• Interact with business lines, control, and governance groups to understand business processes and controls.
• Ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify deficiencies, discuss with line management, and initiate recommendations.
• Establish business partner relationships with line management to develop business knowledge.
• Execute QA strategy by leveraging sound QA practices and innovative methods.
• Influence and challenge management to drive continuous improvements in QA.
• Develop skills to use innovative tools for efficient review activities.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in risk management, audit, compliance, or a combination of each.
• Understanding of technical topics such as change management, application development and lifecycle, and technology controls.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Experience in risk management and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of automation and business acumen.
• Experience in issue management and project management.
• Critical thinking and relationship building skills.
• Teamwork and outstanding communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Control testing or Issues QA review experience within the financial institution industry.
• Technical audit experience.
• Professional background in economics, accounting, finance, math, or actuarial sciences.
• CISA or CPA certification preferred.
