About the position

Great Plains Communications is looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst - Order Management professional to join our growing team. The individual hired for this remote position must be located in either NE, IN, IA or CO. This position will identify, create, implement, and help design an efficient order management process that is engaging and easy to use as it relates to the ability to create, provision, manage, and process orders for a spread of telecommunications products. The successful candidate will partner with GPC's consultants to create an efficient and effective order management experience. The IT Business Analyst will provide technical knowledge in the design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and support of platforms related to order management. This role will perform critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas. The analyst will provide a variety of services ranging from day-to-day support, maintenance, design, development, and troubleshooting to improve, advance, or simplify the order management experience. Additionally, the analyst will provide leadership or project management within application development teams to deliver coordinated software solutions. Key duties include defining standards and procedures, refining methods and techniques for creating a positive order management experience, and establishing best practices for application software development and deployment. The analyst will partner with other departments on application selection, support, and implementation, analyze business processes, recommend improvements to optimize the customer experience, and manage vendor selection and management. The role also involves measuring and tracking KPIs on all IT projects to understand ROI and value creation, driving efficiency through automation, and communicating process improvements with stakeholders. The IT Business Analyst will collaborate with architecture and engineering teams on configuration and development to deliver solutions, develop functional design standards and methodologies, ensure all technical designs meet security and data architecture requirements, and distill requirements into appropriate discovery work plans. The analyst will also create test cases, drive business training, and support applications on day-to-day administration and configuration, performing other related duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, create, implement, and help design an efficient order management process.
  • Partner with GPC's consultants to create an effective order management experience.
  • Provide technical knowledge in the design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and support of order management platforms.
  • Perform critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
  • Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, design, development, and troubleshooting to improve the order management experience.
  • Provide leadership or project management within application development teams to deliver coordinated software solutions.
  • Define standards and procedures for creating a positive order management experience.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend improvements to optimize the customer experience.
  • Partner with the business on vendor selection and management.
  • Measure and track KPIs on all IT projects to understand ROI and value creation.
  • Drive efficiency through automation.
  • Communicate process improvements and implementation with stakeholders.
  • Partner with architecture and engineering teams on configuration and development to deliver solutions.
  • Develop functional design standards and methodologies for robust, agile functional designs.
  • Ensure all technical designs meet security and data architecture requirements.
  • Analyze all requirements from the business and ensure security of all solutions.
  • Partner with the IT Project Manager to drive projects on time and on budget.
  • Provide deep, cross-functional business process expertise and innovative solutions across platforms and systems.
  • Distill requirements into appropriate discovery work plans.
  • Develop methodology, governance, and best practices to support order management platforms.
  • Create test cases with other departments.
  • Drive business training.
  • Support applications on day-to-day administration and configuration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, computer information systems, statistics, or similar technical degree desired.
  • 2-3 years of IT Analyst or similar experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience with customer portal or e-commerce systems.
  • Experience with telecommunications order management and processing.
  • Experience working with and managing third parties and vendors for project delivery.
  • Experience with agile & scrum methodologies.
