About the position

The Business Analyst/Project Manager role at Innova Solutions involves evaluating and enhancing end-user technology systems to meet organizational needs. This position requires a blend of project management and analytical skills to oversee multiple IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. The role serves as a liaison between business and technical teams, facilitating communication and collaboration to implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate end-user technology system needs and recommend appropriate strategies.
  • Analyze user requirements and design/develop new systems/applications.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
  • Plan project stages and assess operational implications for each phase.
  • Monitor progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
  • Perform project management for multiple IT projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and update project plans, including objectives, technologies, and schedules.
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts for system programmers.
  • Develop system test plans and deployment work plans.
  • Collaborate in the planning, designing, and deploying of new applications.
  • Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems.
  • Train staff and users on computer systems and programs.
  • Administer document and system access rights to ensure security.
  • Provide technical support for software/applications used throughout the organization.
  • Analyze and collect technology trends and business intelligence data.
  • Develop business impact analysis and disaster recovery plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field required.
  • Eight years of progressive experience in developing and supporting integrated business systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle protocols.
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, especially in IT.
  • Interpersonal and human relations skills.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and applications.
  • Familiarity with multiple relevant programming languages.
  • Knowledge of database management software and project management software.
  • Ability to lead and offer direction.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a utility, service, or manufacturing operation.
  • Familiarity with document management systems.
  • Experience with risk management and compliance.
