About the position

Seton Hall University is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support the IT Planning and Communications Office. The role focuses on bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects. The Business Analyst will collaborate with various teams to gather requirements, assess technology solutions, and facilitate communication among stakeholders, ultimately driving continuous improvement in the University's IT project management processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements for IT projects.
• Enhance collaboration and communication using SharePoint by configuring sites, developing workflows, and implementing custom features.
• Evaluate current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, developing recommendations for enhancements.
• Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams, facilitating effective communication and maintaining project documentation.
• Manage the change management process in Jira, overseeing the creation, tracking, and approval of change requests.
• Assist project managers in the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-3 Years of Experience
• Expertise in gathering and analyzing business requirements
• Ability to interpret complex data and identify trends
• Familiarity with project management methodologies
• Ability to produce clear and concise documentation
• Adept at explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in modern project management tools, such as JIRA
• Strong skills in SharePoint configuration and workflow development
• Understanding of higher education environments
