About the position
The IT Business Analyst at Merakey is responsible for reviewing and analyzing current and proposed business operations, including financial statements and key performance indicators (KPIs). The role involves assessing the effectiveness of business departments, devising solutions to problems, and maintaining necessary documentation such as requirements and workflow diagrams. The analyst will collaborate with various departments to enhance IT products and services and implement new business technologies.
Responsibilities
- Identify and communicate with key stakeholders
- Gather, review, and analyze business and industry data, including KPIs and financial reports
- Act as an information source and communicator between business departments
- Serve as a liaison between various departments and business units
- Understand strategic business needs and plans for growth
- Assess options for process improvement, including business process modeling
- Enhance the quality of IT products and services
- Analyze the design of technical systems and business models
- Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams
- Source and implement new business technology
- Find technological solutions to business requirements
- Regulate flow of work within projects/teams/units/organizations to ensure completion of goals
- Conduct significant research on existing data and articulate findings
- Serve as the lead on small projects
- Review operating practices and recommend improvements
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of increasingly responsible experience in business analysis
- Outstanding grasp of information technology concepts and processes
- Demonstrated aptitude for effective leadership of staff
- Preferred Bachelor's degree and PMP Certification
