About the position

The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for executing review activities, developing test approaches, and interacting with various business lines to understand processes and controls within the financial industry. This role emphasizes compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements while identifying deficiencies and recommending improvements. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to influence management to drive continuous improvements in quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute review activities according to the instructions given by the Issues Lead and follow issues review documentation requirements
• Develop test approach to leverage during review of assigned Issues
• Interact with business lines, control, and governance groups to gain understanding of business processes and controls
• Comply with corporate standards and regulatory requirements
• Identify deficiencies, discuss with line management, and initiate recommendations
• Establish business partner relationships with line management to develop business knowledge
• Execute QA strategy by leveraging automation and innovative methods, delivering in a timely and high-quality manner
• Exercise intellectual curiosity and judgment to effectively influence and challenge management to drive continuous improvements on QA
• Develop skills to use innovative tools to complete review activities more efficiently

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in risk management, audit, compliance, or a combination of each
• Understanding of technical topics such as change management, application development and lifecycle, technology controls
