About the position

The IT Support Business Analyst at Trane Technologies is responsible for overseeing IT support and performance within the manufacturing plant. This role acts as a liaison between key business partners and service delivery teams, ensuring effective service delivery and continuous improvement. The analyst will provide onsite break/fix support for IT assets and follow defined incident management procedures. The position is crucial for supporting the organization’s software and services solutions, particularly in relation to Oracle business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the SBU IT strategy and maintain alignment with the business while delivering results for the site(s)
  • Act as the primary liaison to local business stakeholders for major downtime and incident management/communications
  • Monitor critical IT issues with urgency to ensure proper priority and resolution
  • Serve as the IT contact for the business regarding IT-related information and project requests
  • Provide onsite break/fix support for IT assets such as PCs and printers
  • Manage client computing lifecycle processes
  • Support business-specific infrastructure and hands-on activities of network and server infrastructure
  • Promote defined incident management procedures using standard ticket management tools
  • Identify opportunities for simplification and streamlining IT applications
  • Drive the adoption of standard work processes and data standards
  • Manage minor IT projects with tight deadlines
  • Work with the business to create detailed requirements, business cases, and process documentation
  • Assist developers with technical design and monitor testing and implementation of process changes
  • Facilitate partnership between SBU and Enterprise Services initiatives
  • Support IT initiatives across other sites as needed
  • Utilize Oracle eBusiness and WMS analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT-related field or equivalent
  • 2+ years professional experience in IT, Engineering, or Manufacturing Operations
  • Project management and business analysis experience
  • Business acumen around manufacturing processes
  • Proven experience with on-site manufacturing and/or software implementations
  • Customer-oriented and responsive, willing to respond during off-hours
  • Comfortable interacting with all associate levels, from shop floor operators to Executive Leadership Team
  • Ability to work with onshore/offshore resource models for projects and operations
  • Technical acumen, including SQL, Data management tools, and Oracle Database structure
  • Experience with MES applications is a plus
  • Oracle eBusiness and WMS experience preferred.
