About the position

The IT Business Analyst will play a crucial role in the Fixed Income IT team of a Global Investment Bank, focusing on Summit expertise. This position involves collaborating with various user representatives to gather business requirements, create functional specifications, and ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of IT systems related to Fixed Income products.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with user representatives to gather and define business requirements.
• Create detailed functional specifications for IT development teams.
• Develop user test cases and validate results during user acceptance testing.
• Provide training to Summit end-users and coordinate the go-live process.
• Lead project scoping and planning, tracking progress and managing issues/risks.
• Provide functional support and maintenance for Summit-related issues.
• Monitor trade workflows and ensure accurate statements and regulatory reporting.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in business analysis within the finance industry.
• Extensive expertise in Summit, particularly in Fixed Income, Treasury, and Credit businesses.
• Proficient in Summit STP services for Front and Back Office operations.
• Strong IT skills, including the ability to review source code and write SQL queries.
• Familiarity with Windows/Unix scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, and Python.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with additional technologies like C++, C#, XML, XSLT, and Excel VBA.
