About the position

The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for interacting with project teams and clients to perform functional and technical requirements analysis, documentation, and validation for software development projects. This role involves creating and updating user stories, acceptance criteria, and preparing status reports while facilitating discussions and coordinating with scrum teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Responsibilities

• Interact with project teams and clients to gather functional and technical requirements.
• Create and update user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in gathering meeting notes and preparing weekly status reports.
• Present status updates to the team and clients.
• Facilitate team and stakeholder discussions and remove team impediments.
• Coordinate with other scrum teams to deliver high-quality products.

Requirements

• Experience in developing requirements documentation such as User Stories, System Requirements, Use Cases, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Ability to analyze user requirements and improve existing systems.
• Knowledge of Software Development Agile Frameworks, including Scaled Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
• Ability to conduct research and provide in-depth analysis to resolve production issues.
• Ability to maintain ownership of tasks until resolution and manage competing priorities.
• Serve as a liaison between the project manager, development team, and client to clarify requirements.
• Understanding of Screen and User Interface designs, Front End Test Documentation, User Guides, and Training materials.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint.

• Ability to develop business workflows.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for requirements documentation.
• Experience working with stakeholders to define the target state of a system.
• Prior experience on a successful scrum team, including sprint ceremonies.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop presentation materials.
• Experience with SQL and completing database queries.
• Experience using Atlassian tools (JIRA + Confluence) or similar products.
