About the position

The IT Business Analyst role is focused on supporting the Fixed Income IT team within the Americas IT department. This position involves managing various projects aimed at deploying new instruments, improving PnL and market data processes, and enhancing settlement workflows. The analyst will work closely with traders, sales, and operations to gather business requirements and ensure the smooth functioning of systems related to Fixed Income, Treasury, and Credit activities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with user representatives to gather business requirements and identify potential issues.
• Write detailed functional specifications for IT development teams.
• Develop user test cases and validate test results during user acceptance testing.
• Coordinate the go-live process and ensure proper system behavior.
• Monitor trade workflows and ensure accurate production of statements and regulatory reporting.
• Provide functional support and maintenance for day-to-day issues on Summit.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis functions in the Finance industry.
• Deep knowledge of Summit and familiarity with products traded on Fixed Income, Treasury, and Credit.
• Familiarity with Summit STP services for Front Office and Back Office workflows.
• Strong IT knowledge, including the ability to review source code and write SQL queries (Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Ability to analyze complex problems with strong attention to detail and provide solutions.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of C++, C#, Python, XML, XSLT, Excel VBA.
