About the position

The IT Business Office Manager will support the IT Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the IT Department for an Oil Refining Client. This role involves leading the Project Management Office (PMO), overseeing IT Finance, Procurement, Vendor Management, and Governance, as well as deploying the enterprise ServiceNow tool. The position requires strong communication skills to present to C-level staff and senior management, and it aims to transform the IT organization into a business-oriented entity by ensuring effective strategy and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support the IT Director in day-to-day operations of the IT Department.
• Lead the Project Management Office (PMO).
• Oversee IT Finance, Procurement, and Vendor Management.
• Manage IT Governance, including policies and procedures.
• Deploy the enterprise ServiceNow tool.
• Communicate and present to C-level staff and Senior Management Group.
• Create and manage the 'Office of the CIO'.
• Provide leadership for cross-functional management of information and technology.
• Oversee IT strategy, governance, performance management, project and program management, and resource planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, Change Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in IT with project management and finance background.
• Experience with SAP ECC & SAP/4 moving to HANA.
• Thorough understanding of standard IT budget, Texas Sales Tax, Amortization, Accrual, and GAAP Accounting practices.
• Experience in cost benefit analysis, such as ROI and TCO.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams or projects and influencing senior-level management.
