About the position

The IT Business Partner Manager at Varian Medical Systems serves as the primary liaison for the R&D/Product teams, ensuring alignment between business requirements and IT service delivery. This role focuses on enhancing business value through effective IT consulting, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and driving digitalization initiatives. The manager will oversee the implementation of IT services, maintain customer satisfaction, and provide insights through KPIs, all while promoting IT innovations and managing the IT budget.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Business Partner Relationships with R&D/Product teams.
  • Engage proactively with the business to identify tactical and strategic demands.
  • Translate business needs into IT requirements.
  • Evaluate customer satisfaction and gather business feedback.
  • Provide KPIs on overall and specific IT performance to the business.
  • Ensure best practice usage of commodity services.
  • Manage business complaints and collaborate with Centers of Excellence (CoE) specialists.
  • Identify and manage R&D/Product demands in alignment with business value and IT governance strategy.
  • Drive decision-making processes as needed.
  • Create opportunities for IT to add additional business value.
  • Advise the business on current IT service portfolio and future IT requirements.
  • Serve as the executive touch point for a portfolio of projects and Business IT processes.
  • Ensure CoEs and CoCs understand the needs of the business.
  • Promote IT innovations and new services within the organization.
  • Maintain IT budget and project portfolio in partnership with business and finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering in a related discipline.
  • 10 years of related experience in IT and business partnership.
  • 5 years of management experience.
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in business process mapping and value stream mapping.
  • Knowledge of Siemens Healthineers business and product lines.
  • Familiarity with IT service portfolio and business processes.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure services and architecture.
  • Knowledge of information security and data privacy in healthcare.
  • Experience with IT systems in a quality regulated medical environment.
  • Familiarity with current IT technologies and standards.
  • ITIL knowledge and ITSM experience.
  • Experience working with Lean, Agile, or CCPM methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience in PLM, SCM, or product development organizations.
  • Project management experience in large/complex business-driven projects.
  • Vendor/supplier management experience.
  • ITIL Certification or process knowledge.
