About the position

The IT Business/Project Manager will oversee and manage information technology projects, acting as a liaison between business and technical teams. This role focuses on planning, establishing, and implementing effective business and sales programs to achieve maximum efficiency and profitability. The manager will also ensure adherence to project budgets, schedules, and scopes while promoting a culture of performance excellence within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing project management techniques to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of projects company-wide.
  • Gathering and analyzing internal historical spend data and budgeted spend.
  • Analyzing supply markets to support sourcing initiatives.
  • Confirming accuracy of data in all reporting.
  • Managing the day-to-day workflow of the department and overseeing project staff.
  • Providing timely and constructive evaluations and taking disciplinary action as needed.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends for project status reports.
  • Establishing and implementing project communication plans and providing status updates to stakeholders.
  • Evaluating provider bids and maintaining benchmark data and data sources.
  • Developing, maintaining, and revising proposals for assigned projects, including objectives, technologies, and timelines.
  • Setting and tracking project milestones and managing unforeseen delays.
  • Upholding technology policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Providing support to both technical and non-technical staff regarding IT issues.
  • Reporting ideas for efficiency and continuous improvement to supervisors.
  • Adhering to all safety and compliance regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer or Information Science-related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
