About the position

The IT Business Systems Analyst I position at NCDIT is designed for individuals looking to advance their careers in a dynamic environment. This role involves supporting software development teams and division leaders by collecting and documenting business processes and operational requirements. The analyst will manage a database of software and IT assets, ensuring accurate information for decision-making, and will also assist with project reporting data for various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary reporting analyst for the section and work with the development team to create system reports for the solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams and supported divisions to gather, document, and analyze business processes and operational requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvements and cost-savings initiatives through data-driven insights.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of software and IT assets with associated costs.
  • Provide detailed reports and metrics to support informed decision making.
  • Assist the CIO with operational needs, including reporting and data analysis.

Requirements

  • Experience in mapping business processes and development requirements.
  • Experience working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with maintaining database information, creating reports, and/or performing data analysis.
  • Proficient with database and reporting tools and/or data analysis techniques.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Platform including Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerBI, Project.
  • Experience creating SQL queries.
  • Experience creating advanced Excel formulas.
