About the position

The IT Business Systems Analyst II position at Paradigm Corp is a full-time remote role focused on planning, coordinating, and supervising activities within the Application Development department. The role involves analyzing user requirements, maintaining existing systems, implementing new systems, and guiding system improvements. The Team Lead will oversee business analysts, developers, and quality assurance staff, ensuring application integration and leading requirements elicitation sessions. This position requires strong communication and analytical skills to maximize IT system investments and improve organizational functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering (elicitation, documentation, and management)
  • Facilitate project customer meetings
  • Extract and analyze business needs, acting as a subject matter expert when appropriate
  • Explain/document complex technical design in a way that a business owner can understand
  • Translate business needs into business requirements documentation (usage cases, process flow diagrams, narrative descriptions, data models)
  • Perform analytical roles on all phases of a major technology project or multiple projects of medium to large size
  • Research and advise on alternative solutions to critical/major business problems
  • Provide estimation on level of effort for business analysis and high-level development and quality assurance efforts
  • Prepare project execution plans, manage and assess project risk
  • Identify and engage appropriate technical and business resources needed for successful project execution
  • Lead regular project reviews with customers and stakeholders
  • Document 'Lessons Learned'
  • Perform system test planning and execution
  • Develop and deliver training materials and provide instruction when necessary
  • Act as project Subject Matter Expert for training development
  • Enforce and adhere to organizational processes and standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in business analysis
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and lead when needed
  • Customer focus, results orientation, and business sense
  • Strong relational data model concepts knowledge and logical data modeling
  • Intermediate level understanding of SQL language
  • Project management background is ideal
