About the position

The IT Business Systems Analyst at Prospera Financial Services plays a crucial role in the successful implementation of technology within the financial services department. This position involves collaborating with business and IT leaders to identify needs, develop strategies, and optimize systems to enhance efficiency and collaboration. The analyst will oversee the utilization of Tier 3 systems, support integration and automation efforts, and ensure compliance with industry standards while managing vendor relationships and project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the utilization and optimization of Tier 3 and its integration with all business applications.
  • Assist in executing strategic IT plans that support expansion into e-commerce and other business areas.
  • Support the integration of new applications into existing and future systems, focusing on automation and process improvement.
  • Provide ongoing support for day-to-day operational issues within Tier 3 and associated systems.
  • Hold a continuous improvement mindset for ongoing training and self-development as an IT team member.
  • Manage relationships with vendors to provide day-to-day support within Tier 3.
  • Understand and support relevant IT projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure all IT activities comply with industry standards and company policies, providing regular reports on utilization and growth areas.
  • Conduct business process analyses and needs assessments to align IT solutions with company initiatives.
  • Write and maintain functional specifications for new and modified business systems.
  • Participate in the delivery of system solutions, including configuration, testing, deployment, and validation.
  • Assist with developing, preparing, and conducting training on computer hardware and software usage.
  • Provide support for production and development environments and on-call support after business hours as needed.
  • Manage a team of Business Systems Analysts to coordinate support and project efforts.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices for developing and sustaining enterprise applications.
  • Support application design and architecture for systems solutions to meet various business requirements.
  • Manage and engage with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and system implementation.

Requirements

  • Experience as a business analyst is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with Tier 3 and all financial services applications.
  • Understanding of corporate CFO functional areas and related business applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Experience in financial services and processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two or more years of related experience, or six years of an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, finance, and change management.
  • Knowledge of financial data security and integrity.
