About the position

The IT Business Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting IT collaboration and services within their assigned area of responsibility. This position involves steering various functions such as budget management, license management, quality assurance, and business process modeling. The analyst is responsible for designing business processes and facilitating the delivery of IT services, ensuring strategic alignment with BMW Group's core IT processes. The role requires strong partnership development with both business and IT stakeholders to deliver sustainable solutions to complex problems, while also ensuring compliance with IT security and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Steer budget, headcount, license management, quality assurance, and audit processes.
  • Design business processes and innovation change initiatives in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Facilitate the delivery of IT services to process partners in the assigned area.
  • Establish strong partnerships with business and IT process partners.
  • Communicate continuously with BMW colleagues regarding project results and agreements.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Recommend and facilitate quality improvement efforts within IT and business organizations.
  • Conduct IT quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with BMW IT processes.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to define and train on Agile principles.
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies and standards for strategic development.
  • Analyze existing and planned initiatives for prioritization based on strategy.
  • Prepare and sustain the local business prioritization process.
  • Ensure effective systems change control, problem management, and incident management.
  • Manage project plans, including deliverables, budget adherence, and milestones.
  • Report and manage risks and progress of projects in the assigned area.
  • Design, develop, train, and deploy systems and procedures for the assigned area.
  • Ensure target achievement and compliance with information protection policies.
  • Promote the use of standard processes and Agile methodology in initiatives.

Requirements

  • AS Degree in IT or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent experience in IT applications development and support.
  • BS Degree in IT or Computer Science preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT-related function with demonstrated success.
  • 3+ years of experience in a steering role involving planning, analyzing, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and documenting enterprise IT applications.
  • 2+ years of experience in implementing/configuring IT systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service-oriented area.
  • 2+ years of experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, JAVA, HTML, JSP, J2EE, SQL, Oracle, UNIX/LINUX.
