About the position

The IT Business Systems Analyst position at the State of Nebraska involves performing business process analysis and design, providing systems support for automated business applications, and acting as a liaison between business end users and applications developers. Responsibilities

  • Confer with clients to determine business needs and requirements.
  • Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles.
  • Analyze and document existing and proposed business processes.
  • Communicate with applications developers about business requirements to develop solutions.
  • Provide technical instruction and assistance on automated applications.
  • Investigate reported system malfunctions and document findings.
  • Provide training to end users on application usage.
  • Strategize with end users and application developers to find software solutions.
  • Lead a team in building and maintaining data test files.
  • Create and maintain business training and support material.

Requirements

  • Post high school coursework, training, or experience in business process analysis and system requirements.
  • Experience with Emergency Health Record (EHR) Systems and handling HIPAA information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in system design and analysis.
  • Knowledge of quality service standards and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques.
