About the position

The State of Nebraska, Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst, specifically a Workforce Analyst, for the Office of Economic Assistance. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail in their analytical tasks. As a Workforce Analyst, the individual will be responsible for reviewing multiple data elements to develop staffing strategies and effectively communicate these plans to the customer service center management team. In this analytical position, the Workforce Analyst will perform various Business Analyst duties, particularly in the development and maintenance of the Workforce Management system for ACCESSNebraska and the Hotline. This includes conducting data analysis to prepare performance reports for the contact center, capturing trends and variances that are critical for operational efficiency. The role also involves developing and maintaining the Workforce Management Platform, which is essential for forecasting and scheduling, as well as managing call flows for the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. The Analyst will need to analyze real-time queues and adjust resources accordingly to meet service levels, ensuring that the department operates smoothly and effectively. The position is full-time, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is located in Lincoln, Omaha, or Fremont. The dress code is business casual, reflecting a professional yet comfortable work environment. The hiring wage for this position is $25.685 per hour, and it is classified as non-exempt, meaning that overtime pay may be applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Review multiple data elements to develop staffing strategies and communicate plans to management.

Requirements

  • Post high school coursework, training, or experience in the analysis of business processes and system requirements.
  • Experience in creating business process applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Workforce Management experience or prior supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Calabrio, Cisco (Finesse & Jabber), and/or eGain/eGain Analytics.
  • Experience in data analysis, business intelligence, capacity planning, IT, forecasting, scheduling, data science, ACD (Automatic Call Distributor), IVR, or other analyst experience.
