About the position

Join our team as the IT Change Manager and champion DSS, Inc.'s mission by spearheading top-tier support. You'll lead the charge in coordinating activities and driving initiatives within our dynamic information systems and IT infrastructures. As the IT Change Manager, you'll orchestrate all change activities and initiatives within our information systems and IT infrastructures. Your pivotal role encompasses ensuring the overall quality of our change management process, including strict adherence to organizational policies and procedures. You'll champion end-to-end stakeholder involvement, applying judicious change controls to thwart unauthorized and disruptive alterations. In this role, you will plan and execute Configuration Management throughout the project lifecycle, including development, migration, deployment, and security. You will oversee the daily management of configuration items, establishing priorities and work assignments. Tracking compliance to policies and procedures will be a key responsibility, as well as resolving or escalating any compliance issues that arise. You will review migration plans and update configuration management processes as necessary. Additionally, you will facilitate Configuration Management audits and review critical incident outage resolution results, addressing any failed changes due to CMS-related issues. As the secretariat for the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Emergency Change Advisory Board (ECAB), you will be responsible for meeting scheduling, circulation of change requests and agendas, and ensuring quorum formation. Facilitating communication and engaging business and IT management will be essential to encourage configuration management efforts and highlight their value proposition. You will review and approve all changes to the CMS infrastructure and significant IT infrastructure changes to ensure that impacts to configuration management data are properly addressed. Mentoring the organization on configuration management services, concepts, policies, and procedures will also be part of your duties. You will provide and approve all requirements, use cases, user stories, etc., in support of new or improved functionality of the CMS.

Responsibilities

  • Mentors the organization on configuration management services, concepts, policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with configuration management tools.
  • Experience managing complex IT projects.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that can drive conversations in cross-team efforts towards consensus and action.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to cater discussions to all levels in organization.
  • Understanding of software development technologies.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.
