About the position

The IT Change Manager is a pivotal role within Sysco, responsible for overseeing the change management process to ensure that changes to IT services are implemented efficiently and with minimal risk to the organization. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate the seamless implementation of changes while adhering to established configuration management policies and procedures. The Change Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing impact analysis processes, ensuring that all changes are thoroughly evaluated for risk and impact before implementation. In this role, the Change Manager will analyze proposed changes to IT services, assess their potential risks and impacts, and review all completed changes to ensure compliance with company policies. The individual will work with service owners to minimize the number of emergency changes and incidents resulting from changes, thereby enhancing the overall stability of IT services. Additionally, the Change Manager will facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, planning and conducting reviews, approvals, and post-CAB follow-ups for applicable changes. The position also involves ideating enhancements for the Change Management tool to increase employee adoption and engagement. The Change Manager will be responsible for following up on non-compliant change requests, reporting violations, and ensuring adherence to company Change Management policies and procedures. Furthermore, the role includes supporting internal and external Change Management audits and examinations, building and maintaining internal change processes, and providing ad-hoc training as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze changes to IT services and evaluate the risk/impact.
  • Review all completed changes to ensure compliance.
  • Work with service owners to reduce the number of emergency changes and incidents due to changes.
  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, including planning, reviewing, approving, and conducting post-CAB follow-ups.
  • Ideate new enhancements for the Change Management tool to increase employee adoption.
  • Follow up and report on non-compliant change requests and adherence to Change Management policies.
  • Support internal and external Change Management audits and examinations.
  • Build and maintain internal change processes, including documentation and ad-hoc training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Change Manager.
  • 5+ years of ITIL experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with the ServiceNow platform.
  • ITIL v4 foundation certification preferred.
  • Cloud-based certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and best practices.
  • Proven experience in configuration management and impact analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, particularly in change enablement and release management.
  • Understanding of security configuration management practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting thorough impact analyses.
