About the position

LSU Health New Orleans is seeking to fill two Client Support Analyst positions with eager, motivated individuals who prioritize providing excellent IT service. These positions will report to the IT Project Coordinator and will be part of the School of Medicine Information Technology Team. This team is responsible for delivering software and hardware support across all Basic Sciences and Clinical Sciences departments, Centers of Excellence, and Administrative Sections of LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine. As a technical member of the School of Medicine's Information Technology staff, the Client Support Analyst will utilize their in-depth understanding of Information Technology to support various departments within the LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine. This includes conducting hardware and software research, ordering, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for end-user devices and peripherals, servers, telecommunications, and AV equipment. The position will take direction from a higher-level analyst or the School's IT Project Coordinator and may also provide guidance and knowledge to lower-level analysts. The incumbent will work closely with the Department of Information Technology to support the university's initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide software and hardware support for all Basic Sciences and Clinical Sciences departments.
  • Conduct hardware and software research, ordering, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for end-user devices and peripherals.
  • Support servers, telecommunications, and AV equipment.
  • Take direction from higher-level analysts or the IT Project Coordinator.
  • Provide knowledge and direction to lower-level analysts.
  • Coordinate with the Department of Information Technology to support university initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 0-1 year of relevant full-time professional experience for IT Analyst 1; 2 years for IT Analyst 2; 5 years for IT Analyst 3.
  • Experience in IT support within a large organization is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in relevant IT fields.
  • Experience with project coordination.
