About the position

The IT Clinical Solution Analyst III plays a crucial role in the design, implementation, and support of Oracle Cerner Clinical Decision Support and mPage solutions within Banner Health. This position collaborates with informatics partners and IT teams to enhance clinician workflows and improve patient care. The analyst is responsible for overseeing the build and maintenance of Cerner Standard/Canned mPages, ensuring high-quality outcomes and effective communication with stakeholders. This remote position requires strong technical skills, particularly in Oracle Cerner, and involves on-call responsibilities outside of normal business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, investigate, track, and resolve multi-level project, system, or application errors ensuring timely resolution with high accuracy.
  • Design end-user training and curriculum for applications and systems, facilitating initial rollout and ongoing support.
  • Create technical documents including process maps, Business Requirement Documents, system diagrams, and test plans.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex application specifications and processes.
  • Engage in continuous improvement opportunities and mentor junior team members.
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators are supported and tracked in all levels of work effort.
  • Display awareness and sensitivity to the needs of internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Current valid clinical license, certification, or credential in the state of practice.
  • In-depth knowledge of concepts within the job function, typically obtained through 4-7 years of work experience in healthcare.
  • Experience in medium scale project planning and reporting, either individually or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Cerner Discern rules, Smart Zones, and Advisor.
  • Additional related education and/or experience in healthcare IT.
