The IT Cloud Resiliency Engineer at Cardinal Health is responsible for architecting and implementing solutions that ensure the availability, disaster recovery, and backup/recovery services for cloud, hybrid-cloud, and on-premise technologies. This role involves leading efforts to develop automated resiliency capabilities, ensuring that critical technologies remain continuously available, secure, and hardened. The engineer will recommend resiliency solutions and oversee the implementation and configuration of related code and automation. In this position, the engineer will research, analyze, and document the architecture of technology components, including their interdependencies, networking, and firewall requirements. They will develop recovery scripts and test various failure scenarios in new environments, leading the implementation of resiliency solutions that utilize automation, resiliency technologies, distributed computing, and cloud operations. The engineer will also perform availability and disaster recovery testing, manage and approve resiliency plans, and collaborate with project teams to identify and document resiliency risks and remediation plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS, GCP, or Azure, and have experience with various AWS and GCP services. They should have a background in engineering, architecture, and distributed systems, along with proficiency in scripting and programming languages. Excellent client interfacing skills, strong communication abilities, and a self-starter attitude are essential for success in this role.
