About the position

The IT Compliance and Risk Analyst position at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is a critical role within the Credit Risk Management (CRM) business line, which is part of the Federal Reserve System (FRS). This position is dedicated to ensuring that the organization adheres to all applicable policies, procedures, and standards related to compliance and risk management, particularly in the realm of information security. The CRM function plays a vital role in supporting effective monetary policy and maintaining financial system stability by managing credit extensions to depository institutions and mitigating payment system risks. The IT Compliance and Risk Analyst will work closely with the IT compliance and risk team to develop, govern, and maintain the compliance and risk management program for the organization. In this role, the analyst will support the IT organization in implementing self-audit initiatives and will collaborate with the compliance team to devise risk management strategies aimed at avoiding non-compliance. A significant aspect of the job involves developing and refining the organization's business continuity and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring that procedures are in place to handle potential disruptions. The analyst will also coordinate security attestations across various applications and platforms and serve as the liaison for all Federal Reserve Bank audits, Board of Governor examinations, and other reviews. This position requires a proactive approach to compliance and risk management, with a focus on maintaining the integrity and security of the organization's IT systems. Responsibilities

  • Support the IT compliance & risk team with developing, governing, and maintaining the compliance and risk management program for the organization.
  • Assist the IT organization with the development and implementation of self-audit initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to develop risk management strategies to avoid non-compliance.
  • Develop and refine the organization's business continuity and disaster recovery strategy and associated procedures.
  • Coordinate the organization's security attestations across all applicable applications and platforms.
  • Serve as the organization's liaison for all Federal Reserve Bank audits, Board of Governor examinations, and other audits and reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Two to four years of working experience in a Compliance and Risk position with experience building compliance and risk management plans.
  • Experience in coordinating compliance with information security policies is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both formally and informally, in written and verbal forms with management, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Advanced critical thinking and analytical skills required.
  • Advanced organizational skills required.
  • Understanding of technology is required.
  • Ability to work independently on broad assignments or under general direction regarding scope or objectives.
  • Ability to research topics, gather data, and perform objective analysis.
  • Ability to adapt and exercise good judgment in changing situations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of information security and auditing controls.
