About the position

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products (MEPPI) is seeking an IT Cooling Systems Product Manager to oversee the planning, launch, and marketing of IT and mechanical cooling products within the Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD). This role serves as the primary liaison between customers and CPSD, managing the entire product lifecycle from planning to service management.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to plan, develop, release, and launch new IT Cooling products.
• Develop and implement short and long-term IT cooling portfolio strategies.
• Identify and prioritize new IT Cooling products and outline the strategic vision for the portfolio.
• Research and compile detailed requirements for product development and sales initiatives.
• Suggest product cost improvements and plan future product developments in coordination with MEPPI and MEHITS organizations.
• Gather and distribute market intelligence, competitive analytics, and customer feedback.
• Perform market research to benchmark competitors' IT Cooling offerings.
• Develop pricing for IT Cooling offerings that align with market value and business objectives.
• Maintain relevant portions of the price book including configuration structure and part numbers.
• Prepare and facilitate meetings with senior management to align activities with product strategy.
• Manage IT Cooling products throughout their lifecycle, addressing product gaps and customer satisfaction issues.
• Monitor and report on business system data to measure performance of the IT Cooling solution portfolio.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships and identify business opportunities.
• Conduct product demonstrations and support factory witness tests domestically and internationally.
• Work with the MEPPI Service Center to expand service offerings for IT Cooling products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in applications engineering and/or technical sales in IT or mechanical cooling.
• Advanced knowledge of direct expansion and variable refrigerant flow cooling systems, chiller systems, and CRAC/CRAH units.
• Ability to read, understand, and create technical drawings and materials.
• Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and ERP systems.
