About the position

The Inter Enterprise App Analyst position at Children's Health is a critical role within the IT Core Clinical Applications department, located in Dallas, TX. This full-time position is primarily remote for Texas residents and is focused on enhancing the health and well-being of children through effective application support and management. The analyst will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, analyzing, and recommending changes to assigned applications and systems, ensuring ongoing production maintenance and troubleshooting. The role involves supporting the planning, design, development, and configuration of applications, leading project teams, and coordinating testing and documentation of system procedures. The analyst will also provide go-live support and serve as the primary point of contact for ongoing production maintenance and troubleshooting, participating in an on-call support schedule as defined within the group. In this position, the analyst will take on various responsibilities, including evaluating project requests, conducting current state assessments, gathering requirements, and leading implementation teams through the planning, design, development, testing, and deployment phases of projects. The analyst will ensure that system designs comply with corporate policies and federal legislation, working closely with customer departments to provide solutions to complex business issues. Project management is a key aspect of this role, requiring the preparation of detailed project plans, adherence to schedules and budgets, and effective communication with stakeholders. The analyst will also be responsible for monitoring and resolving heat tickets, coordinating software and hardware repairs, and maintaining documentation for system procedures. Administrative duties include attending meetings, coordinating communication regarding scheduled downtimes, and staying current with new application functionalities. The role may also involve specific responsibilities related to pharmacy functions, such as coordinating the overall pharmacy functions of Omnicells and maintaining the drug database. This position requires a strong commitment to teamwork, effective communication, and a passion for improving children's health through technology.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate project requests associated with the field of expertise and/or systems supported.
  • Conduct current state assessments, requirements gathering, and future state design.
  • Lead implementation teams in planning, design, development, testing, and deployment of projects.
  • Prepare detailed project plans and adhere to project schedules and timelines.
  • Monitor, acknowledge, and resolve heat tickets as assigned.
  • Coordinate software and hardware repairs and version upgrades with customer departments and IT.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system procedures.
  • Provide go-live support and serve as the primary point of contact for ongoing production maintenance/support and troubleshooting.
  • Attend related meetings and communicate with key stakeholders regarding scheduled and unscheduled downtimes.
  • Support training of IS staff and end-users as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of related experience in a similar role.
  • Project management experience related to the same or similar systems installed at Children's Health.
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of a Chemotherapy Course (Pharmacy department specific) is preferred.
  • Completion of a 20-hour ACPE accredited IV training course (Pharmacy department specific) is required.
  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program or equivalent (Pharmacy department specific) is required.
  • Competency in Epic software used in the role must be demonstrated within 180 days of employment.

Nice-to-haves
