About the position

As the IT Cybersecurity Analyst - Engineering at WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's cybersecurity infrastructure and operational effectiveness. This position is based in Milwaukee, Green Bay, or Chicago, and offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, allowing for both remote and on-site work. Your primary responsibilities will include enhancing cybersecurity preparedness, predicting and detecting threats, and managing incident response and recovery efforts. You will be instrumental in establishing effective cybersecurity governance, developing policies, processes, and guidance for the enterprise, and engaging in both design and engineering as well as operational activities. In this role, you will conceptualize, design, and build secure information technology (IT) systems, taking responsibility for system and network development. You will conduct highly-specialized reviews and evaluations of incoming cybersecurity information, manage the collection and analysis of data from various applications, and assess threats and vulnerabilities. Based on your findings, you will develop and recommend appropriate mitigation countermeasures. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing, modifying, and executing company policies and procedures that impact cybersecurity operations, ensuring compliance with regulations such as NERC CIP and Sarbanes Oxley. You will also create cybersecurity indicators to monitor the status of the operating environment and manage identity and access management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, and/or build secure information technology (IT) systems, with responsibility for system and/or network development.
  • Perform highly-specialized review and evaluation of incoming cybersecurity information.
  • Manage the collection and analysis of information from various applications, conduct assessments of threats and vulnerabilities, and develop and/or recommend appropriate mitigation countermeasures.
  • Develop, modify, and execute company policies and procedures that affect cybersecurity operations and ensure compliance (e.g. NERC CIP, Sarbanes Oxley).
  • Develop cybersecurity indicators to ascertain the status of the operating environment.
  • Manage identity and access management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information technology, computer information systems, MIS, or engineering is preferred.
  • A combination of associate degree, military or professional cybersecurity experience and cybersecurity certification (CISSP, GAIC, MCSE, CEH, GICSP, CSSA, CISM) will be considered.
  • 2+ years Cybersecurity experience.
