About the position

The IT Cybersecurity Analyst at Vi is responsible for securing the organization's IT infrastructure, optimizing security solutions, and collaborating with a third-party Security Operations Center (SOC) to ensure effective threat detection and response. This hybrid role involves both in-office and remote work, focusing on maintaining the security and availability of data while providing technical expertise and conducting regular security assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in collaboration with the third-party SOC.
  • Optimize the deployment and management of the Microsoft Defender product stack and Microsoft Sentinel SIEM.
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting and document security incidents identified by the SOC or internal systems.
  • Provide technical expertise on security-related concepts to IT operational teams and the business.
  • Perform regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans and conduct regular simulations with the SOC.
  • Optimize the use of KnowBe4 for employee training and simulated phishing attacks.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze and report on security metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Assist with the creation, maintenance, and management of Virtual Machines (VM) in the Microsoft Azure environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a focus on IT security.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in IT with direct experience in a security role.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft Defender product stack.
  • Experience in security policy and procedure creation and maintenance.
  • Experience in managing and documenting security incidents.
  • Experience collaborating with a third-party SOC for security analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications such as Security +, CISSP, CCNA (Security), SSCP, CSX, Microsoft Technology Associate Security Fundamentals, or CCSP.
