About the position

The IT Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for providing NISTCMMC compliance implementation, management, and tier 3 support for both local and remote government contracting and commercial clients. This role involves ongoing management of cybersecurity systems, monitoring potential cybersecurity incidents, and providing technical support for various applications and networks. The specialist will also be tasked with configuring and deploying new infrastructure equipment, maintaining corporate application systems, and contributing to a positive team environment while managing multiple tasks concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Provide NISTCMMC compliance implementation and management for GovCon clients.
• Offer tier 3 support for local and remote clients.
• Manage ongoing cybersecurity systems and monitor for potential incidents.
• Install, support, and maintain cloud-based and on-premises networks and applications.
• Configure and deploy new infrastructure equipment including firewalls and servers.
• Support and maintain corporate application systems for email and intranet.
• Provide remote and in-person technical support to end-users on technology issues.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud-hosted applications (Office365, Azure, AWS).
• Troubleshoot and support software applications and business processes.
• Prepare technical documentation including standard procedures and reports.
• Assist with management of infrastructure support including servers and networks.
• Update DNS, applications, websites, and content management systems.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience with computer systems support, server installation, and network administration.
• Experience with Firewall, VPN, and Layer 3 and 4 Switch configurations.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows 10/11, and Windows Server Operating Systems.
• Experience with Azure EntraID and Intune.
• Experience troubleshooting complex network and systems infrastructure issues.
• Hands-on experience with deployment and/or support of client systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively without direct supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Apple/Mac, SQL, and Microsoft Defender (ATP).
• CompTIA Security + and Network + certification.
• Knowledge of NISTCMMC Compliance process.
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration and Intune.
• Experience with cybersecurity within the DoD.
• Experience with CMMC/NIST 800-171 implementation and documentation.
