About the position

The Data Analyst / Programmer role involves analyzing data and programming tasks to support the organization's needs. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise in SQL and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access, to gather requirements, perform data analysis, and create visualizations and reports. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data and prepare visualizations/reports for team review.
• Identify relevant trends and conduct follow-up analysis.
• Gather and understand requirements from stakeholders.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Adapt to shifting priorities to meet organizational needs.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience in SQL/PL.
• 2-4 years of recent experience as a Data Analyst.
• Experience programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.
• Detailed knowledge of procedures, utilities, and program scripts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with retail or E-Commerce industry including requirements gathering and/or systems analysis.
• Experience in a database development environment with Transact-SQL or PL/SQL.
• Business intelligence, analytics, or big data experience.
• Experience with Oracle 10g or later.
• In-depth knowledge of database design and planning.
