About the position

The IT Data Architect at Fulton Bank is responsible for overseeing data modeling, source to target mapping, and the design of corporate data architecture. This role involves supporting business intelligence implementations, managing reference and master data initiatives, and ensuring data quality and compliance. The architect will also develop and enforce data management standards and policies, contributing to a digitally enabled work environment that promotes continuous learning and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed data modeling and design for all data-oriented development projects.
• Design logical and physical data models and maintain documentation.
• Conduct source to target analysis and mapping and maintain documentation.
• Create and update data dictionary.
• Participate in acceptance testing as required.
• Support implementation of reference data and master data programs.
• Define and maintain match rules, data cleansing rules, hierarchies and affiliations, and golden records.
• Manage changes to reference and master data by identifying sources and contributors and establishing processes for managed change.
• Support the data quality program by profiling, analyzing, and assessing data quality problems.
• Determine root cause of data quality issues and define data quality metrics and business rules.
• Support metadata management policies and procedures, developing and maintaining standards.
• Manage metadata repositories and create widely accessible data dictionaries.
• Enforce policies and processes needed to improve and maintain the quality and ownership of data.
• Develop and monitor conformance with data standards, policies, and procedures.
• Manage and resolve data-related issues and conflicts, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assist with defining the corporate data architecture and related standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Science or equivalent experience (Required).
• 3 or more years of experience as a Data Engineer, Integration ETL architect, or data modeler, big data architect (Required).
• 1 or more years of Salesforce experience (Preferred).
