About the position

We are excited to invite a highly motivated and technically adept IT Data Engineer to become an integral part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Global Data Architect and play a pivotal role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining Tosca's data infrastructure. You will not only address the current needs of the North America BI & Analytics team but also contribute to building a robust framework for future requirements. Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to design and enhance data pipelines, ensuring they support the organization's strategic goals and scalability needs.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business objectives, driving innovation and efficiency in data utilization.
  • Develop strategies to optimize data storage and retrieval, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting long-term scalability.
  • Advocate for data integrity and security by implementing robust governance frameworks and ensuring compliance across all platforms.
  • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence by participating in code reviews, providing strategic feedback, and mentoring team members.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, driving continuous improvement and innovation in data engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience in Supply Chain.
  • Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud and ETL tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with source control methods such as Git.
  • Experience with AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or Azure.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language used for predictive modeling/analytics (Python or R).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A demonstrated passion for continuous learning and technical growth.
  • Understanding of predictive modeling techniques.
  • Experience in Supply Chain.
