About the position

The IT/Database Analyst position at Serco involves supporting the US Navy's Team Submarine In-service Program Office. The role focuses on analyzing processes, providing technical support, and ensuring efficient operations within the submarine program. The analyst will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to improve workflows, analyze data, and assist in decision-making processes related to submarine construction and logistics management.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing processes and workflows to formulate process improvement recommendations.
  • Researching, compiling, and analyzing data using Microsoft products for efficient reviews.
  • Identifying deficiencies in data and providing recommendations to government leadership.
  • Providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for technical analyses and inquiries.
  • Reviewing presentations and formal correspondence for NAVSEA approval.
  • Maintaining Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) as required.
  • Interfacing with stakeholders to track action items and leverage initiatives.
  • Collecting information and providing recommendations to senior decision-makers.
  • Communicating with various Program Office representatives and contracting entities.
  • Coordinating with the technical community to develop white papers and presentations.
  • Providing analysis and metrics for program issues.
  • Conducting meeting administration including generating agendas and minutes.
  • Organizing and maintaining program tracking files and tools.
  • Supporting the team with additional duties as assigned.
  • Attending meetings and program reviews, providing presentations and written materials.
  • Providing timely responses for urgent tasking.
  • Ensuring program correspondence meets Serco's Quality Assurance Program standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent military experience with at least 2 years of related experience.
  • Advanced MS Office skills including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Excel, Power BI.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data validation and technical analyses.
  • Familiarity with military logistics and infrastructure management.
