About the position

The Database Developer role at Allianz Technology involves contributing to the development and optimization of physical databases, ensuring efficient access, storage, performance, and maintenance. Responsibilities

• Develop database code for application access, integration between databases, manipulation of data, or retrieval of data.
• Develop and optimize physical database schema and storage mechanisms.
• Assure code adherence to standards and best practices.
• Formulate objectives, scope, and cost estimates.
• Maintain understanding of the data operating system environment, system utilities, debugging tools, and monitoring tools.
• Understand the underlying technology architecture and its impact on database code.
• Participate in interviews for consultants and employees.
• Act as the technical lead for development of databases for assigned projects.
• Improve and advocate for corporate database standards, procedures, and policies for all database platforms.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience as a database developer or operational DBA is required.
• Four-year degree or equivalent work experience.
