About the position

The IT Delivery Manager / Scrum Master at Voya Financial is responsible for overseeing the delivery of key IT projects, primarily acting as a Scrum Master for cross-functional digital development teams. This role involves providing guidance, structure, and support to project teams, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and managing multi-million dollar projects. The position requires a strong focus on Agile methodologies, project management, and collaboration with both internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery and execution of business prioritized key IT projects.
• Act as Agile Servant Leader to multiple teams, facilitating decision making and mentoring.
• Focus teams on delivering priority items and removing impediments.
• Utilize training materials to educate teams on Agile processes and tools.
• Mentor Associate Scrum Masters on Agile practices and support prioritization processes.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leaders.
• Facilitate story point estimation, Daily Scrum meetings, and Sprint Planning.
• Drive analysis, design, and technical specifications developed by project teams.
• Ensure final work products meet quality standards and align with business goals.
• Coordinate work across multiple teams and develop contingencies for changing project needs.
• Partner with IT resource manager on resource needs and performance assessments.
• Manage financial aspects of projects, including FTE and vendor expenses.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget, managing relationships with external vendors.
• Identify and remove roadblocks, escalating issues as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ten years of progressively responsible experience in IT.
• Demonstrated success in project execution with involvement in major projects.
• Mastery of project management software, such as VersionOne.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
