About the position

As an IT Desk Support Analyst at American Pest, you will play a crucial role in the IT department, providing essential technical support to end users across the organization. This hybrid position typically requires you to work three days a week from our Richmond office and two days from home, with the flexibility to work more from the office if desired. Your responsibilities will include building, installing, and maintaining computer and phone systems, as well as managing wireless networks and various peripheral devices. You will also be tasked with creating, updating, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the IT department, along with disaster recovery plans. In addition to supporting existing systems, you will be expected to identify potential changes and improvements, presenting your ideas to senior leaders for consideration. You will coordinate all activities related to our Mobile Device Manager (MDM) application servers, software components, mobile devices, and MDM systems. This role will also require you to travel to our office in Troy, VA twice a month and attend quarterly team meetings in Springfield, VA or Fulton, MD, with travel and lodging expenses covered by the company. Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to end users across the company.
  • Build, install, and maintain computer and phone systems, wireless networks, and various peripheral devices.
  • Create, update, and maintain SOPs for the IT department and disaster recovery plans.
  • Identify potential changes and system improvements and present ideas to senior leaders.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate activities related to mobile device manager (MDM) application servers and systems.
  • Travel to the office in Troy, VA twice a month and attend quarterly meetings in Springfield, VA or Fulton, MD.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of IT experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT related field (preferred)
  • Prior experience with Azure, Azure AD, and Office365 administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, Networking, Cybersecurity, and PowerShell scripting (Certifications preferred)
  • Familiarity with Android and Apple phones
  • Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software
  • Well-developed organization and time management skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
