About the position

The IT Analyst will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive support for client workstations, telecom systems, printers, servers, and network equipment. This position is essential for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving both hardware and software issues, including the re-IPing of devices. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of technical proficiency and excellent communication skills, as they will be interacting with a diverse range of users and teams across the organization. In this role, the IT Analyst will be responsible for delivering on-site technical support to end-users, ensuring that all technical problems are addressed promptly to minimize downtime. The analyst will provide support for standard and local software, including MS Office 365, Outlook, and various security tools. They will also be tasked with diagnosing and troubleshooting issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, ensuring that all hardware and software are functioning optimally. The IT Analyst will install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices. Clear and concise communication of technical information to end-users is vital, as is collaboration with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues. Additionally, the analyst will document all technical support activities in the CMDB/ITSM ticketing system (ServiceNow) and contribute to the development of knowledge articles and other support documentation, enhancing the overall support framework within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical support for end-users
  • Provide Standard and Local Software Support — MS Office 365, Outlook, Security tools
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices
  • Communicate technical information to end-users in a clear and concise manner
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues
  • Document all technical support activities in the CMDB/ITSM ticketing system (ServiceNow)
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge articles and other support documentation

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in desktop support, including experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and desktop hardware
  • Knowledge of networking and telecommunications technologies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with telecommunications and printer maintenance
