About the position

The IT Desktop Support Technician role involves providing technical support for both Windows and Mac systems within a local enterprise environment. This position is part of a Computer Replacement Project, where the technician will assist in imaging devices to Windows 11 and transferring local data. Responsibilities

• Assist in the Computer Replacement Project by imaging devices to Windows 11.
• Transfer local data from old devices to new devices.
• Install individual software applications as needed for users with special requirements.
• Provide day-to-day IT support and manage ticket backlog during slower periods.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professionalism in all interactions.

Requirements

• Experience in Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or as a PC Technician.
• Familiarity with both Windows and Mac operating systems, with a preference for Windows experience.
• IT Support experience is essential, especially in a Higher Ed, Government, or Medical IT environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SCCM and JAMF for computer configuration.
• Familiarity with TeamDynamix as a ticketing tool.
• Knowledge of Papercut printing systems.
• CompTIA Certifications are desirable.
