About the position

GTS Technology Solutions is seeking an IT Field Technician to provide exceptional technical support, primarily focusing on Panasonic Toughbooks and IT infrastructure issues. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software problems, reimaging and deploying PCs, and providing advanced support for IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT hardware and software support, with a focus on effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for Panasonic Toughbooks
• Reimage and deploy PCs to field technicians
• Travel to various sites and assist with troubleshooting IT issues for field technicians
• Provide 3rd level support for the SCCM infrastructure
• Investigate and resolve IT software and hardware issues
• Provide advanced support for IT systems including Windows Server, LAN, TCP/IP, and other networking technologies
• Communicate effectively with users to provide clear instructions and guidance

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT hardware and software support or a related field
• Experience with AD, Security patching, and OS internals
• Experience with Panasonic Toughbooks
• Strong experience with software packaging, and patch deployment methodologies
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems
• Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background check upon hire
