About the position

The IT Desktop Support role focuses on providing high-quality, white glove support to end users in a 100% onsite environment. The position involves configuring, installing, and repairing PC hardware and peripherals while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. The role requires effective communication and a sense of urgency to address user needs and technical issues promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Perform configuration, installation, and repairs of PC hardware and peripherals according to established procedures.
  • Contact end users to define data migration requirements and perform data migration if required.
  • Monitor trouble tickets and coordinate with appropriate vendors for equipment repair as needed.
  • Adhere to and enforce facility security measures, company safety standards, and software licensing procedures.
  • Assist in setting up PCs and related peripherals for special requests.
  • Provide guidance to desktop support teams on hardware-related issues.
  • Perform own work and provide assistance to others as directed.

Requirements

  • Valid CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a PC-related field, including hardware configuration experience.
  • Strong effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency.
