About the position

As the IT Desktop Support Admin at Skyline Construction, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations and maintenance of Windows desktop and laptop systems, as well as providing support for iPads and iPhones across various company locations. Your role will involve diagnosing and resolving end-user issues, installing and upgrading hardware and software, and troubleshooting network and application problems. You will also manage IT infrastructure projects and provide guidance to contract support personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and upgrade workstations, desktops, laptops, network printers, and peripherals.
  • Respond to and resolve workstation, application, Windows server & VMware virtual VMs related problems.
  • Apply advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Update desktop software/applications and maintain documentation on installed applications.
  • Support company-wide IT infrastructure projects such as PC refreshes, new hardware deployments, site acquisitions, and go-lives.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to contract support personnel as needed.
  • Plan new-hire IT equipment purchases and work with vendors for quotes & PO processing.
  • Maintain inventory of all laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, and other components and equipment.
  • Manage an IT Ticketing, SLA, Asset & Change/Release Management ITIL/ITSM based Cloud applications.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of IT desktop support experience within a medium to large Windows environment.
  • Successful track record providing outstanding customer service and problem resolution for end-users experiencing hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with PC refreshes, deploying new IT equipment, creating images, installing software packages, maintaining computer networks, and migrating network printers.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory services, Office 365 Cloud, Windows 10 OS, Windows servers, encryption products, and standard networking protocols (including TCP/IP and Ethernet).
  • Familiarity with Office 365 Cloud and Collaboration Tools (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Cloud).
  • Experience with Cloud VOIP UCaaS (Verizon OneTalk, RingCentral, 8x8 etc.).
  • Familiarity with JAMF NOW/PRO and 2FA, MFA, SSO (OneLogin, Okta, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft DFS and MS Shared Drive Migration to SharePoint Cloud.

Nice-to-haves

  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SSL VPN Client Support and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus, and Anti-Malware software for desktops/laptops.
  • Experience with Multi-purpose Enterprise Printers, Plotters.
