About the position

The IT Desktop Support position at WEBOWERS involves providing day-to-day local and remote desktop support to end users. The role focuses on troubleshooting hardware, software, and application issues, ensuring effective communication regarding issue status and resolution, and performing preventative maintenance on various devices. This entry-level position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration with third-party vendors for complex issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day local and remote desktop support.
  • Receive inbound calls, answer questions, troubleshoot, and document steps performed to resolve challenges with hardware, software, and application issues.
  • Provide Break Fix, fault diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Apply desktop configurations and provide support.
  • Serve as first/second level contact for end user issues and problem resolution.
  • Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 suite and video conferencing tools like Teams and Zoom.
  • Work with third-party vendors to remediate complex issues as needed.
  • Communicate timely on issue status and resolution.
  • Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot Windows and iOS devices.
  • Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers and computer hardware.
  • Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, and printers.
  • Conduct remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and other authorized hardware.
  • Travel to various job sites for onsite installation and support in the DC metro area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in desktop support.
  • Experience with desktop support and basic networking.
