Lexi Global is seeking a dedicated IT Desktop Technician to join our team in Upland, CA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in diagnosing and resolving technical issues across a variety of hardware, software, and networking topics. This position requires a proactive approach to desktop support, ensuring that all workstations connected to the network are properly maintained and updated. In this role, you will provide 1st and 2nd level help desk support for end users, assisting with application support and installations. You will be responsible for creating user accounts on various systems, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and rebuilding workstations as necessary. Documentation of vendor processes into a knowledge base or SharePoint is also a key responsibility, as is the use of remote access tools to perform diagnostics on users. We are looking for someone who demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement in departmental operations, aiming to decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes while providing seamless customer service. The position requires travel to various sites for hardware support, with an expected travel requirement of 60-70%. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $24.00 - $27.00 per hour, and we expect the candidate to work approximately 40 hours per week, primarily during the day shift from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, and networking topics.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level help desk support for end users and application support.
  • Assist with installations and workstation deployment.
  • Ensure all workstations connected to the network are patched and firmware is up to date.
  • Create user accounts on various systems.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Rebuild workstations as necessary.
  • Document vendor processes into a knowledge base or SharePoint.
  • Use remote access tools to perform diagnostics on users.
  • Demonstrate efforts for continuous improvements in departmental operations, including decreased turnaround times and streamlined work processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 1-2 years of experience in a help desk and desktop support role.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a mid-sized corporate environment.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Windows desktop, Microsoft server, cloud infrastructure, VOIP, and network architecture.
  • Valid Class C driver's license.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
