About the position

The IT Developer Analyst role at Leer, Inc. involves leading the planning, design, and development of new applications and enhancements to existing systems. This position requires collaboration with internal customers to define software requirements, analyze existing business systems for efficiency, and manage IT and business process improvement projects. The analyst will also provide ongoing support and training to users, ensuring that software solutions meet business needs and stay current with industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and development of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Work with internal customers defining and capturing business software requirements.
  • Lead reviewing and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business systems and developing strategies for improvement.
  • Lead the testing and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Act as project manager for IT and business process improvement projects.
  • Analyze and resolve software errors in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Assist in training and support of internal users during software implementation.
  • Develop reports, models, and procedures for reporting in conjunction with data owners and business units.
  • Provide ongoing software support to end users.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for new software systems and customizations.
  • Keep abreast of new software development trends and technology.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to ensure current programming languages, application frameworks, and development tools are utilized.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
  • Working technical knowledge of object-oriented programming best practices.
  • Working technical knowledge of SQL Server database design, query development, and administration.
  • Full stack Web Application development including client user interface design and development and consumption of REST and SOAP web services for system integration.
  • Experience supporting and customizing ERP systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative project environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or related field is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Microsoft .NET framework and C#, and HTML/CSS/Javascript is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with quote-to-cash systems is preferred.
  • Report design and administration using business intelligence tools such as Crystal Reports, Microsoft SSRS, Microsoft Power BI, etc. is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Flex/Actionscript development, Epicor Kinetic ERP system, AutoCAD and SolidWorks engineering software is advantageous.
