About the position

Company Overview: Nationwide Loan Consultants is a rapidly growing financial services company based in Pompano Beach, Florida, known for fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment, and providing 100% customer satisfaction! We are looking for an ambitious Junior-Level Engineer to join our technology department and assist, and collaborate with our IT Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be directly involved in migrating our current CRM platform, managing its source code, and customizing workflows. A key part of your role will be to identify and resolve bugs, optimize existing code for performance improvements. You will also work extensively with Python, PHP, and MySQL maintaining existing structures, developing new features, and updating outdated code. This position provides an exciting opportunity to drive innovation within our company, with potential to redevelop the platform to improve user experience. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an in-office position. Only applicants within reasonable commuting distance of the Fort Lauderdale/Pompano Beach metro area will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance dynamic websites and applications using Python and PHP.
• Utilize MySQL and other database management systems for backend development and data architecture.
• Develop and integrate APIs to optimize functionality and enhance user experience.
• Identify and resolve bugs, optimize existing code for performance improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Use tools such as Git for code versioning and collaborative programming.
• Manage Liquid Web and AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS) and potentially Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform environments.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience with Python and PHP.
• Strong command of MySQL and other database systems.
• Experience in RESTful API development and integration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange, Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Slack.
• Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, Vue.js, and Bootstrap.
• Experience with technologies such as Node.js, Express.js, Python (Django, Flask), Ruby on Rails, Java (Spring), PHP (Laravel), and C# (ASP.NET).
• Familiarity with Xcode (Swift, Objective-C for iOS), React Native, and Apache Cordova.
• Experience with AWS, Liquid Web, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
